Whodathunk that Tart Cherry Juice Has So Much Power to Heal the Human Body?!

Might want to replace one cup of your of coffee for a glass of tart cherry juice. You will love you for it!

Tart cherry juice, particularly from Montmorency cherries, is quite effective for reducing inflammation, relieving joint pain/arthritis, speeding up exercise recovery, and improving sleep quality even due to its high concentration of anthocyanins and natural melatonin. Now, why did TropicFeather's Jill and I, Suzanne, come up with this as a topic for our health blog?

Suzanne has suffered from a pinched nerve for 5 1/2 months now. She received physical therapy twice a week that only relieved the pain for a few hours each time. She's tried all kinds of things, but guess what seems to be working all of a sudden? Tart cherry juice! She's drinking about 8- 12 ounces per day for the last 3 days, and the pain has lessened quite a bit. The tingling and numbing of her left hand and forearm still acts when she holds something heavy in the hand or leans over to pick something up.

And...she is sleeping better like from 10 PM - 5 AM and only wakes up once sometimes to walk the dog in the middle of the night.

Now, it's pretty high in sugar, so if you have diabetes, talk to your doctor about how much per day is okay for you to drink, okay?

The facts...

Muscle Recovery and Soreness Reduction: Drinking it before and after exercise can decrease muscle damage, soreness, and pain, allowing for faster recovery. Improved

Sleep Quality: It contains melatonin and tryptophan like turkey does, which can help regulate the sleep cycle, increasing sleep duration and efficiency. Studies found it may increase sleep time by roughly 90 minutes.

Reduced Inflammation and Joint Pain: Rich in anti-inflammatory compounds, it helps alleviate pain associated with pinched nerves, arthritis and gout.

Immune System Support: The high antioxidant capacity helps boost immune function.

For exercise recovery, studies often used about 8 oz (approximately 240 ml) of tart cherry juice twice daily. That will equal about 260 calories per day. Oh, woman, what a dog send!
